INNOVATION & RESEARCH

Ortho-McNeil Neurologics® is uniquely positioned as strong and agile in its purpose to provide and advance solutions that improve neurological health. In 2005, the company combined the neurology resources of Ortho-McNeil® and Janssen, LP to bring a new level of focus on meeting customer needs, specifically through developing, producing and marketing, safe and differentiated products and services to improve health outcomes.

In the United States, medications developed by Ortho-McNeil Neurologics® or its partners include those for Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, migraine treatment and migraine prevention. A focused, long-range view will foster deeper scientific understanding in these areas and facilitate development of solutions in new areas of interest related to cognitive disorders, Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, stroke and neuroimmunology.

Ortho-McNeil Neurologics® will pursue new approaches to these conditions, including and beyond traditional pharmaceuticals, through its network affiliations, including Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C., as well as through relationships with academic and private sector research and development, and licensing and acquisition partners.

Ortho-McNeil Neurologics® is actively partnering in clinical research. Clinical drug research studies are essential for scientists and doctors to find more effective, safer and better-tolerated medications to improve the lives of people with epilepsy. Find out more about ongoing clinical research.
